Synopsis: Set in the early 1960s. A drama following the story of Amir, who arrives in a dreary English northern town from Asia in a vegetable crate. He shares a house with seventeen other Asian illegal immigrants, works in a factory with other Asians, and goes to the cinema to see Indian films. Divisions start to appear in the all-male household when one of the men brings home a friendly young Irish blonde girl.
